Do you notice/perceive a smell of ripe fruit or onions coming from your pond? This is one indication of a “missing link” in the breakdown of common amino acids in your pond’s water. Perhaps when you smell/perceive these indicators, it might be time to consider using a pond skimmer and/or biological filters, particularly those using Zeolite. But of course, before doing so, consult some pond dealers and/or specialty shops and exercise “due diligence” too by “researching” about these skimmers and biological filters.
