Stick to the Three Basic “Hygienic” Principles in Cleaning Your Pond(s).
To maintain the overall hygienic state in your pond(s), always keep these three (3) basic “tenets” in mind:
a.] The “immediate” disposal of unnecessary (or “unused”) organic waste;
b.] Maintenance of the “friendly” bacteria responsible for the effective “breakdown” of remaining waste; and
c.] Regular administration of fresh water. Adhere to these three (3) “foundational” principles of pond hygiene and you’ll be rewarded with a hygienically-”balanced” pond, whether it be a small, ornamental Koi pond or one with a large fish population.
